2008 Erika Anna
Our Viognier grapes are grown in Paso Robles by Hansen Vineyards. The grapes are pressed, the juice is cold stabilized and then fermented on the lees in small, neutral, French oak barrels. The wine exhibits concentrated flavors of ripe summer peaches and pears enhanced by the subtle scent of white flowers. It has a sweet entry and a lingering taste of honey. It pars well with Pacific Rim dishes and shell fish.
Hansen Vineyards is situated on the eastern range of Templeton in the Paso Robles Appellation. The growing season experiences warm/hot days and cool nights. This is an ideal growing region for Rhone style grapes such as Viognier.
